Iran-U.S. Strain Rises; Beirut Evacuation Sparks Fears of Military Action
The tensions between Iran and the USA are escalating despite negotiations. While in the last talks, the signal of good progress has given by the Iranian officials, the United States has ordered all non-essential diplomats and their families to leave the U.S. Embassy in Beirut. Due to these rising tensions, there is a possibility of military strike between the U.S. and Iran. Although the embassy will remain open. This type of action is usually a precursor to a military strike, like when the U.S. bombed Iranian nuclear facilities last year. The U.S. is still increasing its military presence in the area, but diplomatic talks are still set to occur in Geneva this Thursday to talk about Iran's nuclear program.
