Ottawa: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) of Canada today has invited 4,750 candidates to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of lowest-ranked candidate invited was 494 for this draw, which is lowest since September 2021.

Under the Express Entry system, this was the tenth draw since all-program draws resumed on July 6 by the Canadian government.

IRCC resumed this program this year after a hiatus of about one and half years due to unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021, IRCC had recorded 114,431 ITAs, beating record of issuing 107,350 ITAs in 2020.

In the latest draw, tie-breaking rule is applicable for June 06,2022 and if more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Under the express entry draw system, Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible for this round of invitations.
