As Canada votes today, many are people are annoyed by the checklists they have to go through to cast their ballot. Ranging from bring one or two pieces of IDs, to making sure their address is in the correct riding, to making sure they are even registered to vote. Not to mention the differences between the Federal, Provincial and Municipal voting processes in terms of registering, places to vote and advanced voting norms.

Gordon, pictured above, remembers a time when it was considerably easier to cast a ballot. Gordon states that when he voted in the  United Kingdom, back when Sir Winston Churchill was still in politics, voters did not even need to provide their IDs.

While the regimented nature of voting requirements ensure limited irregularities and voter fraud, it may contribute to more voter alienation and absence in the coming decades.
