New Delhi: Senior diplomat Sanjay Kumar Verma has been appointed as India’s next High Commissioner to Canada, while Amit Kumar, who is currently serving as Consul General of India in Chicago, USA, has been appointed as the next Indian Ambassador to South Korea.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Verma is a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service and is currently India’s Ambassador to Japan. He will take up this new position soon.
