Chandigarh: In former Punjab minister Sunder Sham Arora bribery case, a new revelations have been made by the police today.
Arora did not bring the bribe money from any of his partners or acquaintances but from his house. Vigilance investigation has revealed that after taking the bribe amount, Arora first reached Mohali Airport. Arora then changed his car and took the Innova Crysta car of Marbella Grand’s partner. He then took the bribe money from the Innova and approached AIG Manmohan Kumar.
During this time, the PA of the owner of the Innova car was also present with him. When Sunder Sham Arora started giving Rs 50 lakh of bribe to AIG Manmohan Kumar, the vigilance team, which was already ready with a trap, arrested him.
Arora in judicial custody
The accused, Sunder Sham Arora, is currently in judicial custody. Apart from this, the Vigilance Bureau has also started a probe against former Congress MLA Amit Vij on the complaint of irregularities in Pathankot Municipal Corporation.
Vij is currently the treasurer of the state Congress. According to the information, vigilance had received a complaint against former Pathankot MLA Amit Vij. In this, Vij has been accused of a scam in connivance with municipal officials. Vigilance has also initiated an inquiry against corporation officials.
