VicPD asks drivers to follow new traffic routes

Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians in Victoria’s downtown core are being advised temporary road closures will be in effect on Saturday, May 9 from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Victoria Highland Games Association and the Greater Victoria Police Pipe Band will be holding its annual Tartan Parade. The group is mustering at Centennial Square. Parade participants will leave Centennial Square at the Pandora Avenue and Government Street intersection, travelling South along Government Street to the grounds of the B.C. Legislature at Government Street and Belleville Street.

VicPD special duty members have been assigned to manage road closures and provide site security.
