City of Victoria asks people to pay property tax, last date is July 2
The City of Victoria mailed out property tax notices to the eligible people in early May. The city is asking people to pay the tax and also informing that there are many convenient ways to pay the taxes, which are due on Thursday, July 2.
Online Banking (recommended): Pay through your financial institution’s online banking system using the folio number located at the top left of your tax notice as the account number. Check your institution’s local cut-off time to ensure payment is received by July 2.
Mail: Mail your cheque and the bottom portion of your tax notice to:

Drop Box: Located at City Hall near the Pandora Avenue entrance and open 24/7 for non-cash payments.
In Person: The Public Service Centre located in City Hall is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. Payment methods include cash, cheque and debit. Credit cards are not accepted.
Financial Institutions: Contact your financial institution for details.
Mortgage Company: If your mortgage company will be paying property taxes to the City on your behalf, confirm payment details with them directly.
Pre-authorized Payments: A convenient method to make monthly payments towards your 2027 property taxes; enrollment is required.
Home owner grant applications are processed through the Province’s online system at gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or by phone at 1.888.355.2700. Eligible property owners must complete their grant application each year.

You can access property tax account information and sign up for e-billing through MyCity Online. E-billing is convenient and eco-friendly, reducing paper waste.
Log in or set up a profile at MyCity Online.
Register your property tax account. If you own multiple properties, each property must be registered separately. Use your eight-digit folio number and your six-digit access code from your Property Tax Notice.
Select to receive your Property Tax Notice by email. You will receive next year’s notice by email.
