SPOSU Investigates Serious Overnight Pedestrian-Involved Collision

RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is investigating a serious overnight collision that has resulted in a pedestrian being sent to hospital with serious injuries.

At approximately 11:56 pm on July 15,  RCMP SPOSU officers were dispatched to a collision between a pedestrian and a single vehicle near the intersection of 108 Avenue and 142 Street, Surrey.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the police investigation.

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) attended the scene to assist with the examination of the collision scene, and SPOSU’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
