Opposition leaders join Sonam CJP protest in New Delhi
Several opposition leaders, including high-profile figures from the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), gathered at Jantar Mantar on Thursday to back a protest led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) over recurring exam paper leaks.
Key developments from the demonstration in the national capital include, a delegation led by Members of Parliament Dimple Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, Mohibullah Nadvi, and Laxmikant Nishad visited the protest site. Calling the paper leaks a "national crisis," they urged youth and opposition groups to join a planned march to Parliament on July 20.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alongside AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj, expressed solidarity with the students. Kejriwal criticized the systemic failure, noting that paper leaks have become a "daily occurrence" and demanding immediate accountability.
Prominent farmer leader Rakesh Tikait also joined the protest, urging the youth to maintain a peaceful movement and promising the farming community's full support for the July 20 march.
