Salmon Arm RCMP have arrested three individuals following a shooting on Saturday evening.

At approximately 5:21 p.m. on August 8, Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Fraser Avenue NW. Police received information that a man had been shot and subsequently made his way to a nearby business to seek assistance. The suspects were reported to have fled the area in a white pickup truck.

Frontline officers attended and located the victim, who was suffering from injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening. BC Emergency Health Services transported the victim to hospital for treatment.

As the investigation progressed, investigators identified a suspect and a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. Investigators also believe this to be a targeted and isolated incident.

The vehicle was later located at a residence in Sicamous, where police established containment. With the assistance of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Police Dog Services (PDS), officers executed a search of the residence and arrested three suspects without incident.

"This was a coordinated effort involving multiple policing units that resulted in the timely identification and arrest of the suspects," said S/Sgt. Simon Scott of the Salmon Arm RCMP. "While arrests have been made, the investigation remains ongoing and further details cannot be released at this time."
