Peel regional police take action against driving dirt bikes recklessly
Investigators with the 21 Division Community Intervention and Response Team (CIRT) have arrested and charged three youth in relation to ongoing reckless driving of dirt bikes in Brampton.
In April 2026, 21 Division CIRT launched Project Rogue Riders in response to several community complaints regarding the disregard for public safety in residential neighbourhoods by the operation of off-road vehicles. These off-road vehicles were observed driving on park pathways, sidewalks, failing to stop for stop signs and driving at high speeds. Through the investigation, officers were able to identify three male youth.
On July 23, officers executed search warrants at two residences in Brampton and seized six dirt bikes as evidence, and arrested and charged the following individuals:
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact investigators with the 21 Division CIRT at 905-453-2121, ext. 2100.
