Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested a man in connection to a series of retail robberies in Brampton.

Between Aug. 14 and August 24, the suspect allegedly targeted five retail establishments in Brampton. In each incident, the suspect entered the business, brandished a large knife, and demanded money.

As a result of the investigation, Teepinder Singh Ghuman, a 22-year-old man from Brampton, was identified and arrested on August 29.

Ghuman was charged with robbery (five counts), disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence (six counts) and attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence. 

Ghuman was held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
