One individual arrested and one person wanted following seizure of money and drugs

A 30-year-old man from Salisbury, N.B., has been arrested following a large seizure of Canadian currency and controlled substances in Dieppe, N.B. Police has now issued a warrant of arrest for a second individual.

On August 10,  at approximately 11:25 a.m., the Codiac Regional RCMP received a report that two individuals had just left a business in Dieppe, N.B., and appeared to be impaired.

Shortly afterward, police located a vehicle occupied by two individuals matching the description and conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot. As police approached, the driver exited the vehicle. A short time later, the passenger, a 30-year-old man, from Salisbury, moved into the driver's seat and attempted to flee. Following a brief altercation with police, the passenger was arrested. He was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries. 

Police searched the vehicle and seized a large amount of Canadian currency, controlled substances, what is believed to be hashish and cannabis, identity cards, bank cards, cell phones, and drug paraphernalia.

On August 11,  the passenger, 30-year-old Shane Hendry appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with possession for the purpose of distributing, resisting a peace officer, and assault on a police officer. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.

On August 20, 2026, Shane Hendry appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and plead guilty to possession for the purpose of distributing, resisting a peace officer, and assault on a police officer. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on October 8, 2026.

A warrant of arrest has since been issued for the driver who fled the scene. Police are now looking for 31-year-old Kyle Winston Rouse from Etobicoke, Ontario. A warrant of arrest has been issued for failure or refusal to comply with demand, possession for the purpose of distributing and resisting a peace officer. 

Kyle Winston Rouse is described as being approximately 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has brown eyes, bald, with black facial hair.
