Temporary detours required on Warren Avenue West to support

The City of Penticton is advising residents and businesses about temporary detours on a section of Warren Avenue West beginning Sept. 23 as crews install new water and sewer services to support a new housing development.

The work will take place on  Warren Avenue West  between Atkinson Street and Quebec Street, adjacent to Lion's Park, and is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.

To safely complete the work, the road will be temporarily closed to through traffic on weekdays from Sept. 23 to 29, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. The road will reopen outside of construction hours and for the weekend.

During construction hours, traffic will be detoured via Industrial Avenue West using either Atkinson Street or Quebec Street.

Anyone travelling through this area is encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow directions from traffic control personnel, and use alternate routes where possible.

The City appreciates the community's patience and understanding while completing this work.
