Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged two suspects in connection with a 2025 homicide in the City of Vaughan.

On August 27, 2025, at approximately 2:36 p.m., officers responded to a commercial premise in the area of Langstaff Road and Jane Street for a report of an injured person. On scene, officers located a male inside one of the units with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Investigators have determined the victim was killed on August 26, 2025.

On August 28, 2025, the Office of the Chief Coroner identified the victim as Deuvane Donald Francis of Toronto.

Following a lengthy investigation, two suspects were identified.

Investigators took one suspect into custody on September 22,  and a second suspect into custody on September 23.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the Niagara Region, where nine firearms and ammunition were seized. Additionally, investigators seized over 900 grams of cocaine, over 200 grams of ketamine and over 20 grams of methamphetamine. 

Daniel Fearon , 40, of Toronto, and Sherrie Donovan , 41, of Toronto, have been charged with First Degree Murder.
