West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit seize drugs, cash and replica guns
The West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit seized drugs, cash and replica guns after executing two search warrants on May 15, 2026.
The investigation began in February 2026, after the unit became aware of a drug trafficking operation taking place out of two residential homes in Langford.
Officers from the West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit, alongside West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes and the Vancouver Island Emergency Response Team executed the two search warrants on the residences.
Police seized evidence related to drug trafficking including:
- Over $10,000 in cash
- Several ounces of suspected cocaine and fentanyl
- Thousands of unidentified pills (suspected to be narcotics)
- Drug packaging and processing materials
- 3 replica handguns
- Assorted edged weapons including a machete, throwing knifes, a hatchet, and a variety of other knifes.
A 43-year old male was arrested in relation to drug trafficking. The investigation is on going and no charges have been laid at this time.
“Our unit will continue to target those involved in the drug trade. The seizure of drugs, cash and replica firearms from the two residences is another example of our ongoing efforts to disrupt the drug trade in the West Shore,” said Cpl. Kevin Pollock, West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Unit.
