Additional Charges Approved against two Indian origin men in extortion related crime
Additional Criminal Code charges have been approved for two men that were arrested and charged earlier this year following a Surrey Police Service (SPS) investigation into an alleged shots fired incident in the early morning hours of January 26.
On January 26, at approximately 3:50 am, SPS Gang Crime Unit and Frontline members assigned to Project Assurance, working in collaboration with SPS’s Major Crime Section, were in the area of 129 Street and 84 Avenue when they heard what they believed was a gun shot.
