White Rock Launches 2026 Beach Wheelchair Pilot Program
The City of White Rock officially launched its 2026 Beach Wheelchair Pilot Program in partnership with Naakua Paddle Boards, expanding access to the waterfront for residents and visitors of all abilities.
"The Beach Wheelchair Program creates new opportunities for people of all abilities to access and enjoy our iconic waterfront," said Mayor Megan Knight. "Together with our community partners, we are making White Rock a more inclusive and welcoming place for everyone."
Beach wheelchairs are available through Naakua Paddle Boards (14849 Marine Drive, White Rock, BC) during regular business hours and may be rented at no cost for up to two hours.
The City of White Rock gratefully acknowledges the Self Advocates of Semiahmoo for their generous donation of two of the three beach wheelchairs available through the program, furthering the City’s commitment to creating a more accessible and inclusive community for all.
