Residents and visitors are invited to the Annual White Rock & South Surrey Culture Crawl, hosted by the City of White Rock and City of Surrey, on Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4. This vibrant two-day event celebrates the rich arts, culture, and heritage of the Peninsula.

With more than 45 activities across White Rock and South Surrey, the Culture Crawl offers a free, self-guided journey to connect with local artists, cultural organizations and creative talent. In White Rock, four neighbourhoods will come to life through diverse community programming.

"White Rock and South Surrey are home to a rich and thriving artistic community, and the City is proud to support opportunities for local talent to shine," said White Rock Mayor Megan Knight. "The Culture Crawl will bring our vibrant neighbourhoods together and showcase the incredible creativity found across the Peninsula."

“Culture Crawl is a great opportunity to discover the artists, creators and cultural organizations that contribute to a vibrant community,” said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke. “By bringing people together to enjoy local art, music, theatre and heritage, the event encourages residents and visitors to explore what Surrey and White Rock have to offer. We are pleased to partner with the City of White Rock to support local artists and celebrate the creativity and culture that make our communities unique.”

At the Kent Street neighbourhood, immerse yourself in the Mid-Autumn Festival of Cultural Connections, presented by SOURCES on Saturday, Oct. 3, featuring cultural performances, a lively lion dance, artwork, and calligraphy. On Sunday, visitors can participate in hands-on workshops, including a cedar weaving workshop with Semiahmoo artist Joan Williams and a mixed media art journalling class with artist Nicci Battilana. Visitors can also explore the Made on the Peninsula Art Market to meet local makers and browse unique, handcrafted creations.

Along the waterfront at White Rock Beach, the White Rock Museum & Archives will host a Please Touch the Collections! exhibit on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visitors can go behind the scenes, explore objects from the education collection, and learn about the important work of preserving White Rock's history.

 In Uptown, visitors can pre-register for a two-hour hands-on session, Papermaking with Invasive Plants, at the Uptown Gallery with artist-in-residence Joshua Ralph and learn how invasive plants can be transformed into recyclable paper. On Sunday, explore Prairies to Pacific: The Story of Métis Peoples Coming to BC and learn about the history and experiences of Métis people in British Columbia. While in Uptown, stop by the popular White Rock Farmers Market on Sunday.

In the Centennial neighbourhood, visitors can attend an open rehearsal for the White Rock City Orchestra's upcoming 2026 Christmas Concert and enjoy Peninsula Productions' presentation of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park.

Returning this year, a complimentary shuttle service will operate throughout the weekend, providing convenient transportation between Culture Crawl venues in White Rock and South Surrey along two dedicated routes.
