Get ready to celebrate the spirit, colours and traditions of Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas as the City of Delta brings back its FREE DIYAFest on Saturday, November 7, from 3 PM to 9 PM at North Delta Recreation Centre.

Following the tremendous success of its inaugural celebration last year, DIYAFest is returning with an expanded entertainment lineup, exciting activities and attractions for the entire family. One of this year’s biggest highlights is a full-sized illuminated Ferris wheel, promising a memorable festival experience and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

The festival will showcase the richness of South Asian culture through music, dance, food and community celebrations. Visitors can enjoy performances by talented dance groups, including the Royal Academy of Punjab, SFU Bhangra and SHIAMAK Vancouver Bollywood Dance, along with many other exciting performers.

The evening’s entertainment will feature music by DJ Andy and a special performance by acclaimed Punjabi folk singer and multi-instrumentalist Vijay Yalma. Audiences can also look forward to performances by Avleen Chhabra and a high-energy headline set featuring popular hits from Bollywood Rocks.

Beyond the stage, attendees can explore a vibrant artisan market, enjoy delicious food offerings and take part in engaging activities celebrating South Asian traditions and creativity. Whether you are attending with family, meeting friends or simply looking to experience the festive spirit, DIYAFest offers something for everyone.

Best of all, admission to DIYAFest is completely free, including rides on the illuminated Ferris wheel! To make attending even easier, the City of Delta will also provide a complimentary shuttle service from Sungod Recreation Centre between 3 PM and 9 PM.

Make plans to be part of this spectacular community celebration and enjoy an evening filled with culture, entertainment and festive cheer.
