Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has not confirmed the reports that India has asked Canada to remove 41 of its 62 diplomats in the country.
Before heading into the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday morning, Trudeau would only say that it’s important for Canada to have diplomats in India for what he calls extremely challenging circumstances.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has also declined to comment.
However, Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly said in the middle of tensions, it is important that diplomats are present on ground. With The Canadian Press
