Langley RCMP investigating incident that left one man critically injured
On July 1, at approximately 9:48 p.m., Langley RCMP received reports of a man in distress near Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent in Langley.
Frontline officers, along with paramedics from the British Columbia Ambulance Service and firefighters from the Langley Fire Rescue Service, responded to the area and located a 75-year-old Langley resident suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
“Investigators have reviewed video surveillance from the area and believe victim's injuries may be the result of an assault,” said Constable Peter Mann of the Langley RCMP . “Officers believe there were additional people in the area who may have witnessed the incident, and we are asking those individuals to come forward and speak with investigators.”
Langley RCMP is asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have dash camera or CCTV footage from the surrounding area between 9:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., to contact police.
