Investigators with the York Regional Police Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit are appealing for public assistance to locate a suspect wanted in connection with a firearm manufacturing investigation.

On Monday, July 20, investigators began a firearms trafficking investigation after receiving information regarding the alleged manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms at a residence in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Officers executed a search warrant at the residence and seized a quantity of items connected to the manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms, including parts for several of handguns and rifles, ammunition, and prohibited devices.

Steen Eliasen  is wanted for weapons trafficking. Police have been unable to locate him and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Investigators are reminding members of the public not to approach him if seen. Anyone who knows his whereabouts, or has information related to this investigation, is asked to contact police immediately.

Eliasen  is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.
