Surrey Police Service Investigating Early Morning Shots Fired in Park

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating an early morning shots fired in a park in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood.

On August 5, 2026, at approximately 12:10 am, SPS received reports of a possible shots fired coming from Robertson Drive Park, in the area of 127 Street and 92 Avenue, and that a large group of people were dispersing. SPS Frontline officers responded and after an extensive search, located evidence of shots fired. No suspects were located on scene and there have been no reported injures or property damage.

The investigation is in its early stages, and the motive has not yet been determined.

SPS Frontline officers will be in the area this morning continuing the search for physical and digital evidence.

SPS is asking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, has dashcam footage, or lives in the area and has CCTV footage, or if you have information on the incident, to contact SPS’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-82305 (SP).
