Exit polls released following the conclusion of voting in five Indian state assembly elections suggest varied outcomes, with projections indicating strong performances for different parties across regions.

In the northeastern state of Assam, the polling agency Axis My India has projected a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), estimating it could secure between 88 and 100 seats in the state assembly. The Indian National Congress (Congress) is forecast to trail significantly, with projections ranging from 24 to 36 seats.

In Kerala, two polling agencies — Axis My India and Peoples Pulse — both indicate a likely win for the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF). According to their estimates, the UDF could capture between 75 and 85 seats, while the incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) is expected to win 55 to 65 seats.

Projections in West Bengal remain mixed. The agency Matrize has predicted a victory for the BJP. However, Peoples Pulse suggests the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) is on track for a majority, estimating it could win between 177 and 187 seats. Under the same projection, the BJP is expected to secure 95 to 110 seats.

In southern Tamil Nadu, Peoples Pulse forecasts a lead for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), projecting it could win between 125 and 145 seats. The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is expected to follow with 65 to 80 seats, while TVK is projected to secure 18 to 24 seats.

Exit polls, while often indicative of trends, have in the past diverged from actual results, and official vote counts are awaited for confirmation.
