Cockroach Janata Party to hold nationwide protest on June 11
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Wednesday announced a nationwide protest campaign beginning June 11 in Pune, warning that it will launch an indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi from June 20 if union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign.
In a statement, the party said demonstrations will be held in several cities, including Pune, Lucknow, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Hyderabad.
CJP founder Abhijit Deepke said in a post on X that climate activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to join Thursday’s protest in Pune.
The party has accused education authorities of repeated failures in the conduct of examinations and has called for accountability from the federal education ministry. CJP said the protests will continue until Pradhan steps down from his position.
