Calgary police ask public to identify shooting suspect

Calgary police is asking the public to identify a man  a man involved in a car prowling and shooting incident in the southeast community of Douglasdale.

At about 4 a.m., on Sunday, Sept. 13,  two people are believed to have been prowling vehicles in the 100 block of Douglasview Road S.E. At the time, a resident confronted one of the suspects and followed him as he fled the area. During the encounter, the man produced a handgun and fired a round into the air before continuing to flee on foot.

After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect, we are now asking for help from the public.

The suspect is between 5’8” and 6’ tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black, grey and white hoodie with a chevron-style pattern, along with a black baseball hat, pants, shoes, face covering and crossbody bag.
