New Delhi: Delhi Police has submitted a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs on Rahul Gandhi’s security. According to sources, the Delhi Police has said that Rahul Gandhi himself did not follow the security protocol. There were full security arrangements for him in Delhi.

Following the Congress leader’s letter, the Home Ministry had sought a report from the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police had sought a report from security, traffic and special branch units.

After this, this report has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Delhi Police has said that a large number of policemen in plain clothes were also deployed during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi. They had kept a security cover for Rahul Gandhi. However, Rahul Gandhi was also seen breaking the rope cordon that the police had created. On December 24, the route of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi was 23 km long.

Congress had alleged a breach in Rahul Gandhi’s security. Congress leader KC Venugopal wrote a letter to the Home Minister demanding that Rahul Gandhi’s security be increased. The Congress also released some videos by holding a press conference.

The Congress said that the BJP is trying to disrupt the yatra. KC Venugopal said that despite Rahul Gandhi getting Z category security, such a flaw is worrisome. He said that it is necessary to warn the Indian government as we are going to more susceptible areas.

In response to a letter by Congress leader KC Venugopal, the CRPF had yesterday said that former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has broken security protocols about 113 times since 2020. Central security force CRPF said that Rahul Gandhi is being given security as per the guidelines. The CRPF makes security arrangements in coordination with the state police and security agencies.
