Ottawa: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) of Canada today has invited 3, 500 candidates to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of lowest-ranked candidate invited was 486 for this draw. In the last draw, CRS score was 481 ob March 29 and also saw the lowest CRS cut-off score since December 2020.

The candidates were expecting that the government will further rescue the CRS score.

This was first Express Entry draw of April and last year, CRS score were continuing to drop till eleventh all-program draw since July 6 when it was suddenly stopped due to some technical snags.

IRCC had resumed this program last year after a hiatus of about one and half years due to unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, under the express entry draw system, Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible for this round of invitations.
