Ottawa: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) of Canada today has invited 4,750 rounds of invitations for candidates to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of lowest-ranked candidate invited was 496 for this draw, which is lowest since September 2021.

Under the Express Entry system, this was the 9th draw all-program since the Canadian government resumed on July 6.

IRCC resumed this program this year after a hiatus of about one and half years due to unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. Canada has admitted over 28, 000 new permanent candidates between January and August 31 this year.

In 2021, IRCC had recorded 114,431 ITAs, beating record of issuing 107,350 ITAs in 2020.

In the latest draw, tie-breaking rule applicable to May 09,2022 09:04:20 UTC and if more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Under the express entry draw system, Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible for this round of invitations.
