Fraser Health declared a Covid 19 outbreak at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
The outbreak is declared after,’’evidence of transmission’’ was found in one of its medical units and that one of the patients of the unit tested positive for the virus.The unit has been temporarily closed for admissions.
“Upon declaring the outbreak, Fraser Health immediately implemented precautions, including enhanced cleaning, as well as contact tracing to protect the health of all staff, medical staff, and patients,” said Health Authority.
Meanwhile, Hospital’s emergency department remained open.
