British Columbia: The B-C Highway Patrol says a crash on Vancouver Island that sent three people to hospital earlier this month has now turned deadly.
Police say the crash happened around 3 a-m on the Island Highway outside Qualicum Beach on March 2nd.
Highway patrol officers say one of three people injured – an 80-year-old Alberta man – has now died.
Investigators say the man had stopped to help a woman who had hit a pole and gone off the road, and another vehicle hit the damaged car, and the Alberta man likely saved the female driver’s life by pushing her out of the way.
