New Delhi: An Asian Games silver medallist woman kabaddi player has filed a rape case against her coach. The woman player alleged that the coach had been physically abusing her for 7 years. The FIR was lodged at Baba Haridas Nagar police station in Dwarka district.

According to DCP Dwarka M Harsh Vardhan, an FIR has been registered against the coach under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC. The victim’s statement under Section 164 of the CrPC has also been recorded before the court. The search for the accused is underway.

A 2018 Asian Games silver medallist woman kabaddi team has filed a rape case against her coach. The case has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station in Dwarka district. On Monday, the statement of 164 of the victim has been recorded before the court. Police said that the accused coach Joginder Singh Dalal is being searched.

According to the police, in the complaint given by the victim, the victim has alleged that in 2015, she joined the Kabaddi Coaching Club in Hiran Jumping. During practice, the accused coach Joginder started molesting her.

After this, they forcibly made physical relations with her and also made her personal photos and videos. Then the accused coach started threatening to make the videos and pictures viral.

The victim claimed that the accused also extorted Rs 43 lakh from the match-winning fee.

The victim got married in 2021. Even after this, the accused did not stop harassing her and he continued to pressure her to divorce her husband. After being disturbed by the actions of the accused, the victim complained to the police about the matter.
