Chandigarh: Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi met Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur as he returned from abroad after over eight months.
Channi has been summoned by the police in the old case. He alleged that he was stopped to meet Moosewala’s family.
Channi assured the Moosewala family that he was always with the family. He will make every strenuous effort to deliver justice to Sidhu’s family and fans.
After losing the election, the former CM was silent for about 8 months. He said that when he was coming to Mansa, he got a call from Mansa police asking him not to come to Mansa and he will be arrested.
Channi said that when he was present along with Sidhu Moosewala during the assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party had filed a false complaint with the Election Commission. The case that was registered against him is false.
Police presenting challan after Moosewala’s death
Channi said that after Moosewala’s death, the police are now presenting challans. This challan is against Sidhu Moosewala and him. Channi said that when a person dies, the challa is not submitted in the court.
The whole world condole Moosewala’s death but the AAP government does not understand this. Channi said the condition of Punjab has been made miserable by the AAP government. The case of Moosewala’s murder should be investigated properly. Punjab should be made a ‘Ranga Punjab’ and not a ‘bloodshed Punjab’.
