Chandigarh: Former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has been cremated with full state honour. He was cremated at his native village Badal on Thursday.

Due to lack of space in the village cremation ground, he was cremated with state honors in his own kinnow garden farm.

95-year-old Parkash Singh Badal died at a hospital in Mohali at around 7.45 pm on Tuesday night. He was admitted here after he complained of breathlessness. He was the CM of Punjab for 5 times.

Badal became an MLA for a total of 11 times in his lifetime. He won from Malout once, Gidderbaha five times and Lambi assembly seat five times. In his 75-year political career, Badal lost only two elections in 1967 and 2022.
