Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday dismissed the petition filed by Manisha Gulati challenging her removal as chairperson of the Punjab State Women’s Commission, by the state government.
Gulati had sought quashing of the state government’s orders on the ground of technical reasons. But the High Court has dismissed her petition.
On February 15, the Punjab government had informed the high court to withdraw its decision to remove Gulati from the post.
On this, the petition was disposed of by the High Court, but the Punjab government again issued orders to remove her from the post.
