Patiala: The Punjab Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing owner of SS service provider Darshan Kumar Singla. The accused has been identified as Pawan Bajaj alias Rinku, a resident of LIG Quarters of Urban Estate Phase-1, Patiala and currently residing in Royal City.
Patiala IG Sukhwinder Singh Chhina and SSP Varun Sharma said that the special team formed was able to arrest him in just six hours of the incident. Five shells, including a bullet motorcycle used in the crime, a .32 bore revolver, have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case has been registered against him under sections of the Arms Act, including murder, at the Civil Line police station Patiala.
Police interrogation revealed that accused Pawan Bajaj killed Darshan Kumar Singla due to a nearly five-year-long tussle for business supremacy.
Darshan Singla used to provide employees on contract to other government and non-government departments including PRTC. Darshan Singla’s firm SS Service Provider’s office is on Nabha Road. The accused Pawan Bajaj also used to do business here.
