Surrey RCMP is informing the public of shots fired in a Cloverdale residence and requesting anyone with information to contact police.

On December 9, 2021 at 1:15 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the report of shots fired in the of 17700-block of 60 Avenue.  Attending officers located one man who had been shot inside a residence. The 26-year-old man was taken to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released. Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation, which is still in early stages. Officers are currently canvassing in the area and a residence has been secured pending a search warrant.

“The victim is known to police and is not cooperating with the investigation,” says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Constable Sarbjit Sangha. “Based on the information gathered so far no links have been identified to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.”
