As part of new covid-19 restrictions movie theatres are closed across BC .
BC theatres were operating normally through the weekend as they were unaware that their businesses fell under the order of gatherings. Anyone who booked their tickets for upcoming showtimes can reach out to guest services for full refund.
“It was quite clear in my mind where the events issue was so we clarified it today that movie theatres fit into that and it’s the intent of the order that we reduce the opportunities for social interaction,” Health official Bonnie Henry said in her daily briefing on Monday.
