India’s anti-money laundering agency launched a major raid Tuesday at the headquarters of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) in Punjab, seizing key records and mobile phones of top officials.

Accompanied by paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel, Enforcement Directorate officers sealed off at least three floors of the building during the surprise operation.

Investigators confiscated documents connected to the Remigate case and alleged illegal approvals for Change of Land Use (CLU) permissions granted to private builders.

Authorities say the investigation is examining widespread financial irregularities, including questionable land acquisitions, unfair advantages given to private developers, unauthorized land-use changes, and corruption in public property auctions.
