Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating an arson and mischief to vehicles parked outside a residence in a Surrey Central neighbourhood.

On October 28,  at approximately 11:45 pm, police responded to a vehicle fire outside a residence in the 14500 block of 91 Avenue. Upon arrival, SPS officers observed a fully engulfed passenger vehicle, that was being extinguished by Surrey Fire Service firefighters. A bus, also associated to the property, had been spray painted. It is believed that a suspect fled the area on foot after damaging the bus and setting fire to the vehicle.

 Although the investigation is in the early stages, SPS Major Crime detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward, and for CCTV and dashcam video from anyone who was in the area at the time.

 Currently, the motive for the arson and mischief are still under investigation.
