Chandigarh: NRI Kirandeep Kaur on Monday met his husband and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh in Dibrugarh jail on Thursday. After getting permission, Amritpal Singh’s wife Kirandeep Kaur left home on Monday. She was accompanied by a batch of lawyers and members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

According to the information received, Kirandeep Kaur left for Delhi from Amritsar on Monday. She stayed in Delhi and on Thursday morning, she left for Assam. Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh had issued a message to the community and advised the Sikhs detained in this case to fight the case unitedly.

Amritpal Singh along with his supporters had left for Moga from Jallupur Khera village in Amritsar on March 18. In Jalandhar, the police took action against Amritpal Singh and he managed to escape.

Since then, wife Kirandeep Kaur has not met Singh. After about one and a half months, Kirandeep Kaur met Amritpal Singh.

Earlier, on April 20, Amritpal’s NRI wife Kirandeep Kaur was stopped by immigration officials at Amritsar airport. She was going to London. Kirandeep was questioned for 3 hours at Amritsar airport. After this, Kirandeep was returned home.
