Surrey: One person was transported to hospital with serious injuries after a plane caught fire in an Ultra-Light aviation field in the 6900 block of 152 Street on Friday, Surrey RCMP said.
After the incident, firefighters were called to extinguish a grass fire.
RCMP said the circumstances that lead to the fire are unclear at this time.
In a press release, Surrey RCMP said 152 Street between 72 Avenue and 68 Avenue were closed in both directions to all traffic after the incident.
