New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with highest honour of Fiji and Papua New Guinea during his recent visit to attend the third India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit.
Pertinently, only a few non-Fijian have received this honor till date, therefore, this honor has a different significance for India. Along with this, the Republic of Palau also honored PM Narendra Modi.
The Republic of Palau honored PM Modi with the Ebakl Award. Both these awards have been given to PM Modi in Papua New Guinea.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Office wrote, “President Surangel Whipps, Jr. of Palau presented PM @narendramodi with an Ebakl. It is one of the most important tools for the people of Palau and has a strong link with the local culture. It also symbolises leadership and wisdom.”
“Papua New Guinea has conferred the Companion of the Order of Logohu on PM @narendramodi. It was presented to him by Papua New Guinea Governor General Sir Bob Dadae.”
