Chandigarh: After a hoax bomb call near Golden Temple received by Amritsar Police Control Room on late Saturday night, an alert was sounded across Punjab.
Soon after the information, ten bomb disposal squads of the police reached around Sri Harmandir to carry out checking. The police force launched a massive checking every drive but they had not found anything suspicious.
The cyber team of the police is tracing the mobile number of the informant in the police control room. Following this, Police detained a Nihang and his children at 5 am. They made a prank call.
After the probe, police found that accused Nihang, a resident of Bansa Wala Bazar near Sri Harmandir Sahib, made a call to the police control room from a stolen mobile phone. After this, the police nabbed him from his house. His children were also detained. They are investigating the case.
