Chandigarh: Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran, Punjab, was attacked with a rocket launcher at 1 am on Friday. However, there has been no damage. Only the window panes of the outpost are broken.

The security agencies called it a terrorist attack, and terrorist Gurpatwant Pannu has taken responsibility for it. Rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) were used in the attack, police said.

According to the information received, around 1 am, the Saanjh center built with Sarhali police station on Tarn Taran Bathinda National Highway was attacked using rocket launcher RPG. By the time the police came out of the Sarhali police station after hearing the sound of the blast at night, the attackers had fled.

There was no one in the police station except the night duty officer and two constables. The evening center was also closed due to which there was no loss of life. Forensic teams have arrived for investigation.

There was no explosion in the RPG

The terrorists’ plans were dashed when the RPG thrown by them did not explode. The glass of the twilight center was broken due to falling inside the RPG. Police have kept the RPG in safe custody and the Saanjh centre has been sealed. SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said that the investigation is underway.

Gurpatwant takes revenge for action in Jalandhar

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a Terrorist of Sikh for Justice living abroad, has claimed responsibility for this attack by sending a voice note. Pannu says that families who migrated from Pakistan in Latifpura in Jalandhar in 1947 have been made homeless by the Punjab government. It’s his revenge.

Pannu’s threat to CM

Gurpatwant Pannu has threatened Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Pannu says that those following the path of former Chief Minister Beant Singh will be sent to him. If you have the courage, cross the bridge of Tarn Taran today, supporters of referendum are waiting.

Pannu has said that rocket launchers and bombs have reached every house in Punjab. This will give Punjab freedom from the rule of India.

Police believe in terror attack

Police and security agencies are not giving more information about this, but they believe that it is a terrorist attack. The attackers did not want to cause any harm, but this step was taken to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab.

The attack took place in Mohali on May 6

After 7 months, once again the terrorists have targeted the Punjab Police. Earlier on May 6, the Intelligence Department was attacked using RPG in Mohali. Even then the office was closed and there was no loss of life.
