Chandigarh: The services of free tests available in Aam Aadmi Clinics are going to be affected as private firm Krishna Diagnostics, which provides free tests services at 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics running in the state, has refused to provide services at the clinics.

The Order has been sent to civil surgeons across Punjab by the Director of Health and Family Welfare Punjab. Krishna Diagnostics, which provides services at Aam Aadmi Clinics, wrote a letter on February 16, 2023 informing that from March 1, 2023, they are closing their services at Aam Aadmi Clinics and other civil hospitals and community health centers.

With this order of the government, all Aam Aadmi Party clinics, civil hospitals and community health centers have been asked to make their own arrangements. They have been ordered that from March 2, 2023, i.e. today, all the collected samples should be transported to the nearby government laboratory.

Earlier, Krishna Laboratory itself used to collect samples from the Aam Aadmi Party clinic and send the results on the tab.

After Krishna Diagnostics pulls out, the functioning of Clinics in Punjab will be completely affected. There is already a shortage of staff in the government lab and the number of tests is high. In such a situation, the additional burden of testing of 500 clinics will also affect the quality.

Launching attack at the Aam Aadmi Party government, Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira wrote, “Aam Aadmi Clinics experiment begins to collapse as private lab engaged for various test has stopped its services. This is what happens when politicians like @ArvindKejriwal & @BhagwantMann force their impractical agenda merely to score brownie points derailing existing healthcare.”
