Chandigarh: Singer Karan Aujla has reacted to the arrest of Sharpy Ghumman by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab. Along with Sharpy Ghuman, his two accomplices Onkar Singh and Prabhjot Singh have also been arrested for sending gangsters abroad by making fake passports. Karan Aujla is upset with his name being associated with Sharpy.
According to the sources, Sharpy has been organizing singers’ programs in Punjab due to this, he has relationships not only with Karan Aujla, but also with many other artists.
Karan Aujla has also issued a clarification on Saturday and threatened legal action against media houses if his name to be linked with anyone without getting verified.
Karan Aujla in a social media post wrote, “Members of the media and my fans, I want to clarify some facts. Several media houses yesterday broadcasted news that ‘Karan Aujla’ s friend has been arrested.’ If I had or have a friend and he did something illegal, what did I do? Am I the only friend of all of them? I probably haven’t spoken to that person in two years.”
He threatened media to pursue illegal options against them for associating his names with criminals without verifying facts. My legal team is already working on it.
On April 16, a video of Punjabi singers Karan Aujla and Sherry Mann singing at a wedding in the USA surfaced. In this video, Lawrence’s brother Anmol was seen dancing with them. Surprisingly, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement in September 2022 that Anmol had been detained in Kenya.
