Ottawa: It’s been more than a decade since negotiations began on a trade agreement between Canada and India, but federal Trade Minister Mary Ng insists a deal is coming in the near future.
Industry groups have been urging Canada to push for a deal to be signed this year.
Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said during a visit to Toronto and Ottawa this week that New Delhi wants to vastly increase its trade with Canada.
Ng has also announced that she will be leading a trade mission to India this October. — Canadian Press
