Lucknow: Gangster Atiq Ahmed, the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, has confessed that he was the one who plotted the murder. He also confessed that his wife Shaista Parveen was also involved in the conspiracy.
According to the remand copy of the police, accused Atiq Ahmed told the police in his statement to the police on April 12, 2023- “I plotted the entire umesh pal murder while sitting in jail.”
The UP Police had taken the statement of Atiq Ahmed under CrPC 161. During this time he cried many times.
He said, “Now we have got into the soil. It’s all my fault. Assad was not at fault. The greatest sorrow in the world is the body of a young son on the shoulders of an elderly father.”
